You haven't gotten lost, this site really does look different. A wise friend of mine reminded me that the slipshod design I'd put up when I first instituted this blog was difficult to look at, so I thought I'd do a quickie revamp. There will be more changes later. At our current pace it will be ready probably some time after 2012, when the world is supposed to end.
The good news is there is a chance I'll be a perfect designer, after the Millennium.

Great new look! Although I enjoyed the appearance of your site previously, it was a bit of a strain for my old eyes to read small light letters on a black background. Congrats on being willing to change, and I look forward to seeing how the site may evolve over the next few years. LOL!
ReplyDeleteI love it. Easier to read, and more cheerful.
ReplyDeleteI like cheerful, anyway.
A work of art! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you, everyone! Like I said, the perfectionist in me isn't happy with it yet, but for now, at least, it is easier to read.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone has any suggestions or comments on how the design could be improved, feel free to let me know. It might add impetus to the changes.
I liked the color scheme you had before, the font was just too small. Bring back the black I say!
ReplyDeleteAs you can see, I've changed the structure of the site somewhat, as well. My previously defective comments widget has been replaced with a new and beautiful design, and I've taken advantage of Blogger's new blogroll feature. I love it! It moves the most recent posts to the top, so I can keep track of who is posting rather than spending time surfing.
ReplyDeleteI hope you all enjoy it.
Jendoop - I like the black, too. Eventually, I plan to replace the current grey with a black, but it takes time as I have to fix all the rounded corners along with it. My time schedule allows only quick-and-easy changes right now, sadly.
ReplyDeleteI'm liking this new design, especially because I think the color scheme ties into your site's name really well...fresh colors like a fresh rainstorm. :)
